Once there was a small kid on earth. One fine day it came to know that God is distributing apples to humans in his place at heaven. The kid was so happy to receive that news and it went with lot of enjoyment to heaven to get the apple from God. There was a big queue standing to get apple from God and this kid also joined in that queue. While it was standing, it was fully excited and thrilled for the fact that it is going to receive in person from God's hands. It's turn too came and the kid showed its both the hands to receive apple. God gave the apple but unfortunately the tiny hands couldn't hold that big apple. Apple fell down and got wasted in mud. The kid got so disappointed. The ministers near the God informed that if the kid likes to have an apple from God again then it has to again follow the queue. Having waited for so long the kid didn't want to return back to earth with empty hands so it decided to wait again in the queue.
This time the queue has become even more longer than the previous one. While waiting in queue, the kid could see lot of people who returns back with apple in hands and utmost satisfaction on their faces. The kid was so much disappointed and thought why me alone didn't get the apple in hand when all others were easily able to get it. What is the sin I did that I alone should suffer like this. Now the kid was so scared that it should not miss the apple again. Again his turn came and God gave the apple to the kid's hands and after giving the apple god spoke to the kid.
"My dear child, last time after giving you the apple only I noticed the apple I gave to you was a rotten apple and that's why I made that to fell down from your hands. Having given you a rotten apple, I felt bad for you and I wanted to give you the best apple in the farm and that time the best apple in the farm was growing and that's why I made you to wait such a long time in the queue. Here it is. Now the apple that you have in hand is 'The Best' apple in the farm till to date. "
Moral of the story and its practical application in our life
So, friends, sometimes it happens as even after we put our 100% dedication and commitment things may get delayed or things may go wrong. Believe that God has something great for us and that's why this has happened.

THE WORLD IS STILL A BEAUTIFUL PLACE TO LIVE IN
"Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder"
Our planet is the same as it was in the time of our forefathers. Whatever ugliness has crept in has been the work of man himself. The general erosion of values, morals care for the environment that we see around us -- who is responsible for it all -- man or nature ? Nature is as bountiful, beautiful and as wonderful as it has been. The sunset, the moon rise, the sleeping child; few things are common place in nature. It is our reaction to them that has grown dull because of our busy, stranded and competitive lives .
Life has never been endlessly sweet and happy. It has joy and sorrow; pain and pleasure, achievement and failure. We can be glad it is so; because if it were not so, there would be no great literature, no great music, no great art. And who wants a world with no Shakespeare, no Beethoven, no Michelango.
Now, a special word for people who tend to take life too seriously, feel thing too deeply, who allow themselves to be so obsessed by the evil and injustice in the society. It is right that we should be concerned but we must never allow these evils to obsess us, because it is not only the lives of others that are important, our lives are important too. They were given to us so that we could enjoy them. One should not let anything become an obsession for him as it destroys the beauty and happiness of life. Cherish above all your senses of humour, if you lose that you are in a grave danger of losing your cause too.
Those who call the world devoid of any delight might have signed the death warrant of innate goodness of mankind. Admist all the evils of corruption, terrorism and fanaticism and intolerance raising their heads in different forms in different parts of the country and the world, the eternal springs of human compassion and kindness have not gone dry. For every Bin Laden, Mohammad Azhar, Ajmal Kasab we have a Baba Amte, an Anna Hazare, a sister Nirmala etc. The work of good men is like a vein of water flowing hidden underground secretly making the ground greener.
Happiness is like a butterfly which when pursued is out of your grasp but which if you sit down quietly may alight upon you. It depends more upon what you can give not on what you can get.
Change is the inevitable truth of human existence. Some changes are bound to be bad but they cannot decrease the delight of existence in the world.
The world as it is today is to be our battlefield, our workplace. We have to do our best with what we have and should not fret over the things which we have not.If man so desires he can bring about a quality change in the life we lead today because the most powerful weapon on earth is the human soul on fire. If man reforms himself the earth will be automatically reformed and will become a delightful place to in.

Care for your loved ones unless it becomes too late....
A very touching story that I came across on the internet. A very touching story........
A young man was getting ready to graduate college. For
many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer's
showroom, and knowing his father could well afford it, he told
him that was all he wanted.
As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited
signs that his father had purchased the car. Finally, on the
morning of his graduation his father called him into his private
study. His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine
son, and told him how much he loved him. He handed his son
a beautiful wrapped gift box.
Curious, but somewhat disappointed the young man
opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible. Angrily,
he raised his voice at his father and said, "With all your money you
give me a Bible?" and stormed out of the house, leaving the holy
book.
Many years passed and the young man was very successful in
business. He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his
father was very old, and thought perhaps he should go to him. He
had not seen him since that graduation day. Before he could make
arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had
passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son. He
needed to come home immediately and take care things.
When he arrived at his father's house, sudden sadness and
regret filled his heart.
He began to search his father's important papers and
saw the still new Bible, just as he had left it years ago. With
tears, he opened the Bible and began to turn the pages. As he
read those words, a car key dropped from an envelope taped behind the Bible.
It had a tag with the dealer's name, the same dealer who had the
sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation,
and the words...PAID IN FULL.
GOD sends us gifts in different forms. All we need to do is to recognize them.

GOD gives something to everyone...... not everything to someone
This is a reply which Aurtur Ashe, the legendary tennis player gave when asked by a reporter on how he felt while he was gradually dying from AIDS.
"The world over - 50 million children start playing tennis,
5 million learn to play tennis,
500,000 learn professional tennis,
50,000 come to the circuit,
5000 reach the grand slam,
50 reach Wimbledon,
4 to semi final,
2 to the finals,
when I was holding a cup I never asked GOD ‘Why me?’.
And today in pain I should not be asking GOD ‘Why me?’ "
One should be grateful to GOD for all the bounties he has bestowed upon us instead of cursing him for something that we do not possess. We should realize how lucky we are with all the luxuries of life bestowed upon us in one form or the other.

A story that keeps me driving ahead...... must read in times of depression
This is a story which i came across while I was preparing for a story recitation competition in my school. At that time I just mugged it up but later realized that it was relevant with respect to our lives too. Here it is......
Once upon a time there were two frogs. One day they both fell in a bucket full of milk. They both tried to stay afloat by swimming but were soon tired. One of them lost hope and drowned. The other meanwhile kept trying all night. He tried and tried and churned the milk into a small piece of butter which floated on the top of the bucket. In the morning he was sitting on top of the block of butter and eating the flies that were coming nearby.
What I learnt was that One should keep working hard and worry little about the outcome. The results will follow.
